दस-दस को एक ने मारा..

लेह शहराकडून  पँगगॉंगला निघालं की छांग-ला (पास)  नंतरच्या पँगगॉंगकडच्या संपूर्ण भागाला 'चुशूल घाटी' म्हणतात. येथे असणार्‍य़ा रेजिमेंटला 'चुशूल वॉर्रीअर्स' असं म्हणतात. चांग-ला पासून चीन सीमेपर्यंतची सर्व जबाबदारी या चुशूल वॉर्रीअर्स कडे असते. याच रस्त्यावर 'मेजर शैतानसिंह' (PVC) फायरिंग रेंज आहे. इथे गेल्यावर चीन-भारत युद्धाच्या इतिहासाच्या आठवणी जाग्या होतात. 

मेजर सैतानसिंह यांनी इथे असा पराक्रम गाजवला की त्यांना युद्धा नंतर पुढल्याच वर्षी ‘परमवीर चक्र’ (मरणोत्तर)  बहाल केलं गेलं.  आज १९  ऑक्टोबर चुशूल घाटीच्या युद्धाला पन्नास वर्षं पुर्ण होत आहेत. दै. लोकसत्ता मध्ये आजच प्रसिद्ध झालेला लेख खास इशा टुर्सच्या वाचकांसाठी आणि प्राणपणाने सिमेचं रक्षण करणार्‍या भारतीय जवानांना मानाचा मुजरा.

Thats what touched us all

We, a group of 12 Reiki Masters had been on the tour of Shrinagar - Kargil _Drass _ Leh from 29th Aug to 5th Sept with Isha Tours .It was an awesome experience for all of us. Our total group size was 107. And the way it was smoothly organised is really to be appreciated. following the timings, Travel arrangements & comfort, homogeneity within the group were only some of the few things we all enjoyed. sight selection, nature's beauty Outstanding !!!

But the best part of the journey is we got some v good human beings as friends - Atmaram, Smita, Pritam ('Pritam pyaare' as we named him !) Rohit & Meghan. All of them were not only tour guides for us but they were just as our family members during the whole journey. Nature, beauy etc is not our creation. Its already there but creating belongingness, love, taking care & being happy are humane qualities. and thats what touched us all.
