Catch an exhibition of photographs that showcase the beauty of the place at Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagruha

A group of amateur photographers has captured Ladakh like never before.

Rekha Bhiwandikar, Geetanjali Mane, Narendra Prabhu, Smita Rege, Girish Gade and Atmaram Parab are part of Wanderers and will display their pictures of the nature, life, culture, tradition, monasteries, rituals of worship, lakes, rivers, high altitude passes and wildlife from their recent visit.

The exhibition will be held at Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagruha, Karve Road, from December 15 to 18.

The intention of the photographers is to not only showcase the beauty of Ladakh, but also encourage more people to visit it.

They maintain that it is breathtaking in summer and winter as well, when the colourful monastery festival adds life to the snow-covered landscapes.

The thrill of walking on the frozen Zanskar river is indescribable, according to them.
